Challenge Time – Again!

Have you ever signed up for something, often in advance, only to get to the time (at seemingly rip hurling speed) and think, “What the hell did I get myself into?”

I understand.  Driving up 101 this at 10.30pm this evening, I had the realization that it was October 1.

It is the first day of the Ultimate Blog Challenge (“UBC”).  I along with 500 plus others, have committed to blog every day for the month of October.  And you know I am getting a taste for these challenges.

Anyway here I am sitting on the bed with the laptop, we just walked in from a day that started at 6am in Pacifica before we headed over to the second day of Cracking the Money Code Workshop with Brandy Mychals and Vinca Hart.

130 miles in the truck, 9 hours in the workshop, supper in El Cerrrito with a friend from the workshop and then home-and I am writing a blog post.  My deadline is midnight and I didn’t start typing until 11.38pm.

Perhaps I could just have started tomorrow but I want to approach this UBC the same way I did in July, with reverence for the agreement I made with myself when I agreed to do the Challenge.

And here I am, I showed up and I wrote and now I am going to bed.  We will be seeing a lot of each other over the next 30 days!

I know that with this post written and soon to be posted I can go to bed knowing I kept my agreement today, and tomorrow I will do it again, and so on throughout the month.  It feels good to honor myself, to honor those agreements, to do what I said I would do.

Do you honor yourself?  Do you have a current challenge?  I would love to know.
