Ninja in the kitchen-how to make easy, delicious, crispy fried tofu

There are many ways to eat tofu, and a lot of them can suck!  Maybe you’re nodding your head-I think we have probably all eaten bland soft tofu.  But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Your tofu can be crispy, crunchy and delicious.  Check out this video and then pair it with stir fried veggies and choose from myriad ways to sauce it up and bring up the flavor factor-on it’s own tofu has little to no flavor, adding just a little sea salt can make all the difference, not to mention all the simple sauces you can whip up, I will be back with some of those in another post, today we are going to make the simplest, easiest, crispiest tofu you could ever want.

You don’t need a lot of oil, and a little patience goes a long way.  I love to use my cast iron skillet for this but you can use whatever you have.

I’m often asked what kind of tofu to buy, and I touch on that in the video, with a tip that will take your soft, soggy tofu to a new chewier texture-it’s likely simpler than you might think.  Join me in this video for my top tips for the best crunchy tofu.  Once you have that you can dress it up in all kinds of ways, stay tuned my love, recipe by recipe, tip by tip, your inner ninja will emerge, and we will be here sharing more recipes along the way to build on your ninja skills.

And as much as I love sharing here with you, I’d love even more to hear from you.  What ninja skills do you have and which ones would you like to hone?  Alone we can do so much, together we can do so much more.  I’m delighted we are on this journey together.  Until tomorrow my love.
