The Spark of Inspiration

The almost full moon shines brightly across the farm, illuminating the land in only the way the moon can.  After an emotionally challenging start to the week, the magik in the moonlight could be felt as we pulled up to the farm at midnight, home from the city.

The moon does not feel like this amidst the buildings of the concrete jungle.  It is still there, the same moon but it shines differently, it feels different.  We feel different here under this moon.  It is recharging that which is hurting, filling the void left by the week's events.

It is here that the moon can be felt.  As Saul Williams puts it, "Every whisper of the wind is the moon's imagination wandering."  There is no wind here but the moon's imagination sparked something in me as we pulled up and walked out across the open land to out teeny tiny farmhouse, the place that has become an integral part of our hearts.

Every remarkable journey starts with a spark of inspiration which in turn "inspires action."

So tonight, as I yearn for the soft warmth of my bed, I leave you with this quote from Ayn Rand.  May your inspiration be sparked and may it be followed by inspired action.

"In the name of the best within you, do not sacrifice this world to those who are its worst. In the name of the values that keep you alive, do not let your vision of man be distorted by the ugly, the cowardly, the mindless in those who have never achieved his title. Do not lose your knowledge that man's proper estate is an upright posture, an intransigent mind and a step that travels unlimited roads. Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours."

Yes, that dream you desire deep inside, the one that whispers to you when you are sparked by inspiration "can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours," are you ready to claim it?  And if not, what is holding you back?
